Just fooling around with photo blogging - took a picture on my phone, uploaded it to flickr which automagically sends it to my blog. I am awesome.
The device in the picture is our store's DVD/CD printer/burner - snaps off 50 DVDs or CDs at a time.
It is not exagerated to say that North Korea is one of the most isolated countries in the world. It is also the last under Stalinian regime. Here, the cult of personality, first of Kim Il Sung and now of his son Kim Jong Il, has reached unprecedented levels.
No country, no regime, past or present, has ever conceived such an environnement of ubiquitous propaganda, not even those who instigated or experienced the marxist-leninists revolutions of the last century. Not even Nazi Germany.

That's my nephew, showing his younger brother how to clear up those plugged sinuses. (sniff) They grow up so fast.

We babysat my nephew today and so naturally he got the Photobooth treatment on Sue's MacBook. More Photobooth stuff here.

Finally, summer is actually here and it looks like it's sticking around for the whole week.
Mowing the lawn at Bruce's
Originally uploaded by iChris.
I got in touch with my farmer roots last night and broke out the ride-on mower to cut the lawn. I used to cut my grandparents lawn on their farm all the time when I was a kid so it was fun in a nostalgic kind of way.
The mosquitos are straight from the pit though. Nasty.
I wanna go back.
Ever wonder what the inside of CBC Radio Vancouver looks like? Well wonder no more. Check out this photo set on flickr.
Committed To The Wax, Tapes, And CDs

This is the best use of tags on flickr yet. Now if only I hadn't just thrown all my jewel cases away and put my CD's in a binder.

A weekend without wifi is like a weekend without warm weather. Oh wait.. I got to experience both this weekend. :)
Some new pics up in home improvement (we painted our bedroom), friends (BBQ and video gamin at our 'summer home' - props to Ging and Larissa for making the trek to hang out with us), and a couple new pics (1, 2) in the Artsy Fartsy gallery - doing some fooling around with the macro mode on my camera.
We watched In America on Saturday night and then watched it again last night with the director's commentary on. I'm a sucker for all things Irish and so I may be a bit biased, but it's a great movie. The acting by the two young girls in it is worth the rental alone.
Speaking of Irish stuff, someone was apparently hanging outside U2's studio and recorded a possible new U2 song. The sound of the wind is just all the hot air coming from Bono's mouth. (Grabbed from U2log.com.)
I've been half-heartedly trying out Gallery for over a year now over on Sue's family site and thought I'd test my linux nerd-age by trying to install it on my home machine. Wouldn't you know it, it actually worked?
It's mainly because there's no MySQL required and PHP comes preinstalled on Mandrake (and most current Linux distros) so a monkey could do it really.

Some amazing photos from the World Trade Center attack taken by a photographer who was killed when the second tower fell. Background story here.
