Matthew found a couple of great training/corporate videos that Microsoft had Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (creaters of 'The Office' in the UK, now in it's 3rd season Americanized) do.

Flickr has added the ability to say where your pictures were taken. This is terrible news to a stats geek like me because now I have to go back and enter in all the places my pictures were taken. Luckly Flickr makes it really easy to do through the organizer (pictured above).
So on this picture in my flickr photostream, scroll down and on the right hand side you can see where it was taken (if you're one of my friends/family - a little bit of security added via an option to decide who can see where your pictures were taken). Click the (map) option and you should see a pop-up something like this:
You can then check out other pics from the same area by me or by anybody. Neat!
Update: Wow. In 24 hours, 1.2 million flickr photos were geotagged. That's a pretty decent rate of adoption by users.
I'm very far from being an expert (somewhere a step above newbie is where I'd place myself), but thought I'd list off a couple of the resources that I use for learning about designing in the tangled interweb:
I'll add more as I think of them. What are some sites/books you use to help in your design escapades?
Conan O'Brien's opening monologue.
Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert present an award.
Who needs a VCR or TIVO now that there's youtube?
Update! The link below is incorrect (or outdated) - visit this site to check your battery.
Since I know I've either directly or indirectly sold a bunch of people iBooks/Powerbooks, you might want to take note of this and check it out:
Apple has issued a recall on select batteries that were in 12" iBook G4, 12" Powerbook G4 and 15" Powerbook G4 model laptops. To find out if your battery is affected and for instructions on how to get a replacement battery, please visit this website. There was also a previous battery recall on select MacBook Pro models - more info available here.
225 people go into a Home Depot, and at a predetermined time all start shopping in slow motion for 5 minutes. Then they would shop at 'normal' speed for 5 minutes and then completely freeze for 5 minutes. Check it out here.

Xbox Live will feature European board games such as Settlers of Catan & Carcassonne.
Sorry.. something in my throat. And if you're thinking to yourself 'I can just go play those games right now without some silly XBox thingy' you're absolutely right - but you can't just go play that with Matthew in Montreal now can you?
And yes, there's a huge difference between wanting and needing something. So to clarify, I need an XBox. :)
It hasn't arrived yet, and I'm kind of glad in a way because it extends my birthday out for awhile as I wait in anticipation of my new guitar. I was shocked, surprised and amazed when Sue told me of her present for me and completely oblivious to all the hints she dropped throughout the week (including a crossword puzzle that had the words 'Simon', 'Patrick', 'Mahogany', 'accoustic', 'strings' in it!). I think in the week leading up to my birthday my brain shuts down in order to 'protect' me from finding out about surprises before they happen.
That's my excuse anyway for being an idiot. Haha.

Borat and Chris, Originally uploaded by iChris.
Last night we went to see Talladega Nights and ran into Borat standing outside the theatre. I had no idea he was so big in person. Phil got his picture taken as well - (view it here).
Go and welcome my sister and brother-in-law to the world of blogging - www.mennoboy.com/beersincanada (their last name is Beer.. get it?)
They are moving to B.C. to live on the island in Campbell River to go to school and serve expensive Starbucks coffee to the rich islanders. We'll miss having them near by, but at least now we have a place to go stay and visit for free! :)
If you dig some Canadian hip-hop, K-os' new single, Electrik HeaT - The SeekwiLL, is the free download this week.

Yes, that is Kelly Peters out on the dance floor. Incredible. I haven't seen moves like that since MJ broke out in the '80s.
2 great iPhotos, Originally uploaded by Jamita.
My sister had her baby on Tuesday, a 8lbs baby boy. I'm not sure if they've officially settled on a name yet but there's a whole swhack of pictures on her flickr site.
Apparently, Rick Rubin is set to help engineer the new U2 record in September. Rubin is the genius behind Johnny Cash's resurgence with the Amercian Recordings as well as working with a variety of artists such as LL Cool J, Aerosmith/Run D.M.C., Slayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Neil Diamond, Metallica and many others.
Love him or hate him, it should make for an interesting collaboration.
Anyone else on Digg.com much? If so, add me as a friend so we can see what each other are digging.
If you do use Digg, check out Stack and Swarm, two really cool graphical displays of what's happening on digg.com.
I'm sure there's people who can't stand Will Ferrell, but I find him hilarious. He could be reading recipies and I'd be crying laughing.
