Rediscovered the Pearl

I've recently rediscovered that I enjoy listening to Pearl Jam. They toured through town last week and while I didn't attend, after hearing that it was such a good show I bought the recording of the show off their website. It's actually a really good deal, $10 (US dollars I believe) for an MP3 recording of the whole show along with pictures and a pre-made CD liner that you can print out if you want. 26 songs in all, including a cover of 'Running Back to Saskatoon'

I think 'Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town' is one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs - and Yield is probably my favorite album of theirs. I have lots of nostalgia love for Ten and Vs. because I grew up on them but Yield is the album I chose to like on my own, without influcence from friends.
I seem to recognize your face
Haunting, familiar, yet I can’t seem to place it
Cannot find the candle of thought to light your name
Lifetimes are catching up with me
All these changes taking place,
I wish I’d seen the place
But no one’s ever taken me
Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away... (2x)

I swear I recognize your breath
Memories like fingerprints are slowly raising
Me you wouldn’t recall, for
I’m not my former
It’s hard when you’re stuck upon the shelf
I changed by not changing at all, small town predicts my fate
Perhaps that’s what no one wants to see
I just want to scream...hello...
My God it’s been so long, never dreamed you’d return
But now here you are, and here I am
Hearts and thoughts they fade...away...

Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away... (2x)
Hearts and thoughts they fade...away...
Hearts and thoughts they fade, fade away... (3x)
Hearts and thoughts they fade...
