Digital Music = Patches for Songs?

So if you buy all your music digitially (i.e. iTunes music store or something similar), how long before a band/singer put out 'patches' for their songs?

i.e. Britney Spears releases her new single online, then a couple weeks later realizes that there's a note (just one?) that she sang not quite right (she sings?) and so she re-releases it along with a upgrade to v1.2 of her song for everyone who purchased it already.

Just a thought I had for some reason today.
