Here's how easy it is:
- Go to this site and download the appropriate client (Windows or Mac)
- Grab a player capable of playing back DivX encoded media - mplayer for OS X or DivX for WinXP or OS X
- Go to this site and find the show you missed. Click on the name and download the .torrent file that it gives you.
- Find the .torrent file on your computer. If you installed the bittorrent client properly, it should start up and begin downloading.
- When it's done, find the downloaded AVI (or whatever) file and start watching.
What bittorrent in effect does is allow multiple people to download a single file from a bunch of other people, all pulling data from the file in different spots. As people get more and more of the file, there are more and more people with data to pull from - but they don't have to have the complete file to download it as is the case with most peer-to-peer file sharing programs.
It's great for catching a show you missed or don't feel like staying up late to watch.

i so deeply approve of this post - first, I am at the moment downloading some Astroboy, Thundercats, and Batman (The Animated Series) cartoons and am eagerly waiting for them to finish, and secondly, I love the Daily Show - finally a late night show that makes me laugh!
