Netsuke
this is a netsuke, a small sculpture with two holes that is used to secure a purse or container to the sash of a kimono. i'm not exactly sure how tall this one is, but i'd guess it to be around 1.5 centimeters. cute little bugger anyway.

i actually like the idea of little 2cm tall skeletons running around banging on little drums.
it's meant to be a little irreverant. the bell drum is actually like one used in buddhist temples... so the little skeleton playing it is a little "nudge, nudge, wink, wink".
