good to be back........
well i'm glad thats over. i worked last night which sucked, but i got to talk to Mel alot which was good. good friends make the time go faster. a crappy end to an otherwise good weekend.
big birthday bash for Jem was good, and i didn't ruin it. i was trying to save Marie's ass, which would've worked if Caroline hadn't been standing in front of the door. friday night was a write off (good nuff.) had to drive up to some camp north of spiritwood on saturday with Jem (which was beautiful, if you have time go up to Shell Lake or TooHots cabin for an afternoon. the colours are grand.) came back and watched Mystery Science Theatre 3000 "Michelle" with the Trew boys, T-rav, and Jem (again.) Sunday was nice, lunch was good and i spent the evening with Laurie who is now safely back at home in Calgary. good times!!

I'm still completely baffled about the ending of that movie though (Matrix: Revolutions). I think I'll need to watch all three in sequence to get a better grip on it.

i think i'm slowly getting it, but i'm seriously doubting that i'll ever completely understand it.

i think it's coming high time for a matrix marathon. or even a matrix weekend

that would be sweet. marathons are fun. i did a star wars one with the 3 movies years ago-good times. hmmm...maybe a allniter should be in the works to watch these-maybe on a big screen at the church?? haha star wars...church...it works....sort of.

Yeah. . . :) hmmmm, we may leave the star wars/matrix marathons for not-church. :)

uh huh, that makes sense. but lord of the rings.. that'd be okay. they're based (a bit loosely) on books written by a christian.
Posted by: eustace | September 23, 2004 10:12 PM
ummmm...there are many movies (based on books written by Christians) that would be considered highly inappropriate for viewing in a church. And I'm sure many movies that are based on books written by non-Christians that could be deemed appropriate.
I fail to see the relevance of the religion of the author against the actual content of the writing/material.
Or were you kidding and I'm getting my knickers in a bunch for no reason at all? It has been known to happen :)

tell it like it is, lori. tell it plain and straight like that.
